Water Cooling Tower ABS Spray Nozzle
The orifice cap is available in 13 diameters ranging from 0.362 through 1.099. These amount of flexibility allows for a wide range of adjustment in the water flow rates and basin water levels.
The cooling tower Marley spray nozzle is available in the following three lengths.
1. The 2.625 Cooling tower nozzle is used for wood, steel, and fiberglass cooling towers where basin support structure does not obstruct the release of water.
2. The 4.875 cooling tower nozzle is used for larger industrial wood and concrete cooling towers and on applications where clogging might be a concern.
3. The 6.875 cooling tower nozzle is used on towers where the release of the water has to clear obstructions within the tower structure.
In every application the target portion of the nozzle should be located at the correct distance above the top of the cooling tower fill to obtain maximum water distribution over the fill area.
Cooling Tower Spray Nozzle Working Principles
Working fluid flowing inside of the cooling tower nozzle coils, which is enwrapped by spray water on the outside.
The heat of water is transferred by coil and become the saturated vapor when the water flow meet with the air flow.The heat is exhausted out of the cooling tower by the top fan; then the water is collected back into the bottom cooling tower basin and circulates continuously.
The spray water is cooled down via PVC radiation fin in the process of circulation, and flows the same direction with the fresh wind. The coil mainly takes sensible heat travel style. The most benefit of this style is can avoid scale formation on the outside of the coil. And this will apply especially to dealing with high temperature fluid (e.g. 60°C) or the fluid need big temperature difference (e.g. 60°C to 35°C).
